Has this ever happened to you?
This recently happened to me and I thought I would share it with you.
My alternator on my Nissan Maxima went out and I had to replace it. In an effort to save money, I went to the auto parts store and purchased it myself to bypass the mechanic’s markup on the part. After I chose the mechanic and shop, I had it replaced.
When I went to pick up my car, it was a total cost of over $1,000. The mechanic informed me that the alternator was under a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty but the labor to install it was not warrantied. What a bummer! The labor cost alone was over $475 of the total shop bill.
This is when I purchased a Blue, $475 Service Warranty. This policy covers the cost
of Labor to replace the alternator which I can use at any shop in the event I am on the road and not anywhere near the original shop that installed it.
Our Service Warranties are designed exactly for this purpose. They cover the labor to remove & reinstall the warrantied manufacturer part under warranty up to the original service labor install cost. Just choose the warranty policy $ value that best matches your original labor cost, purchase it, and you’re covered for the amount and term of the policy
